NDIS practice and participant rights policy

Our obligations as a registered NDIS provider and the rights every participant has when receiving our supports.

Registration and standards

  • Ametz Group Pty Ltd, trading as Adaptive Services Australia, is a registered NDIS provider.
  • We operate under the NDIS Act 2013, the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators, the NDIS Code of Conduct and the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits.
  • We are independently audited and we report to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

Your rights

  • To be treated with dignity and respect, free from violence, abuse, neglect, exploitation and discrimination.
  • To make your own choices, take positive risks, and change your mind — including changing workers or ending services.
  • To privacy, and to have your culture, identity, language, religion, gender and sexuality respected.
  • To have a support person, advocate or interpreter with you at any time, at no cost to you.
  • To clear information about services, costs and cancellation terms before you agree to anything.
  • To give feedback or complain without it affecting your services.

Service agreements and pricing

  • Every participant receives a written service agreement in a format they can understand, setting out supports, hours, rates and cancellation terms.
  • We charge in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits and never charge more than the published limits.
  • Short-notice cancellations are charged only as permitted by the NDIS pricing arrangements, and we always explain this before you sign.

Worker screening and conduct

  • All workers hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Check and national police check, and complete the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
  • Workers are supervised, receive ongoing training and must comply with the NDIS Code of Conduct.
  • Restrictive practices are only ever used where authorised under a behaviour support plan, and are reported as required.

Incidents and safeguarding

  • All incidents are recorded, reviewed and acted on. Reportable incidents are notified to the NDIS Commission within required timeframes.
  • We support participants to access advocacy and the National Relay Service or TIS National interpreters where needed.
  • Questions about this policy can be directed to our quality team on 1800 498 454 or ndis@accesssupport.au.
  • You can also contact the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission on 1800 035 544 or at ndiscommission.gov.au.

This policy is reviewed annually, or sooner if legislation changes.
